This compilation of information about the Devereaux House in Salt Lake City, Utah consists of a handwritten letter, photocopied articles from the Salt Lake Tribune, and an excerpt from a pamphlet entitled "Pioneer homes". The letter from Katherine J. Peterson describes her memories of the Devereaux House where she lived as a child. She reminisces about her grandfather, William Jennings, who was the first owner of the house as well as being a former mayor of Salt Lake City and reputedly Utah's first millionaire. Originally called the Staines-Jennings Mansion, this house at 334 W. South Temple is now listed on the Utah State Register of Historic Sites.
